The Rider and the Parrot
The tenth incarnation of Vishnu,
L ord Kalki, is represented riding a horse and carrying a parrot on his fist.
I understand the horse but why the parrot? I recently asked the question to Shri Mataji: “Mother why is Shri Kalki represented with a parrot?”
The response She gave, to the extent I understand it, could be deemed tragic: “Because He wants to communicate but He can’t.”
And She faces us at the Christmas, Shiva and Birthday Pujas, motionless and silent, while the sea rises and the earth shivers.
Men and women of God of all the countries, unite.
